I am never certain with LV drivers - just have to experiment with each combination of hardware and software and OS versions. While IVI is very good idea from a software engineering point (abstraction and decoupling), it offers another layer of compatibility problems when used outside of its native enviroment (CVI/LW or C++). And most of the later LV drivers use IVI interface.
Being a simple-minded redneck, I tend to use ANSI C for most instrument stuff - so all of the weird combinations having slightly different headers (and OS-specific defines) are minimized. I am not sure of the differences between the drivers, but usually the different drivers invoke different capabilities. Generally, if an instrument is able to make the measurement and there is a driver for it, TILE can then make the measurement using that instrument. Probably too old for Tiles. Gonna cost you in time and/or dev tools. Does anyone have suggestions? I would like to find software that isn't too costly but still maintains quality.
