2 kHz? If really fast edge rates then the harmonics would appear. Pick two adjacent ones in the measuring range and measure the delta freq between them.
That is the fundamental. Plug into the ethernet ISN for conducted measurements and check for the same. Me thinks something else is going on. A clock like signal gets no relief from a QP adapter. ________________________________ From: Ken Javor <ken.ja...@emccompliance.com> To: EMC-PSTC@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 3:55 PM Subject: Quasi-peak detector Quasi-peak detector Performing troubleshoot testing to CISPR type radiated emissions requirements without a quasi-peak detector. Seeing results of bus traffic on an Ethernet cable. Squeezing down to zero-span mode and adjusting sweep speed, a roughly 500 us 50% duty cycle waveform is observed. Is it accurate to expect no “relief” during a full qualification testing using a quasi-peak detector for this type of intermittent signal?
