Derek,

I could be wrong, but I don't believe there is a product standard for
telescopes in general. But if you have a motor-driven tracking system, there
will be something needed for this portion of the product; for CE marking and
entry into Europe. This will include electrical / mechanical safety, EMC, and
don't forget to include RoHS (now mandatory).

Subject: [PSES] Telescopes

Hi all,

can anyone tell me if there is a product standard yet for professional
telescopes. What might that come under?

Looking around the CEN site I don't see anything.

Thanks,

Derek Walton
