In my point of view, there are two factors that manage screening
properties.

Conductance (linearly dependent) (higher = better screening)

Inductance ( governed by the braiding); not the longitudinal inductance
of any wire, but added inductance due to braiding

(I have seen an "optical screening percentage" used for loose braiding,
which translates to inductance)

Subject: [PSES] Aluminum-Magnesium alloys used in braided shield

Hello,

I am researching the properties of braided shields with respect to EMC
made with al/mag alloys.

Does anyone know of a paper or reference that I can refer to?

Best Regards
