All Client has a number of items that are NRTL listed
* Mains powered with standard IEC inlets * Class III, LPS, equipment powered from NRTL listed wall-wart PSUs Is there a mandatory OSHA requirement for the Class III equipment to be listed, or is it just a "nice to have". This equipment often doesn't actually need to be tested to be listed *, so does it need to be listed to be installed by the employer ? (* e.g. http://industries.ul.com/blog/next-day-certification) The reason I ask is that client has made some modifications to Class III equipment, so that it can be powered from one of two LPS sources - it's professional install, built-in, equipment so won't finish up with two power supplies connected (which are OR'd anyway) I would like to understand what has to be done from a legal point of view before we ship equipment - which as ever needs to be next week :) And I understand that the customer can impose whatever requirements they like of course...
