Hi all, Given the Samsung smartphone galaxy 7 recall due to unsafe Li-ion battery in 2016, may I know are there any clauses in the current IEC 62133-2:2017 (https://webstore.iec.ch/publication/32662) to address such issue ? What are the differences between Samsung 8-Point Battery Safety Check and IEC 62133-2:2017 ? In your opinion, and what are the pros and cons of each testing methods / standards ?
