Hello List Members,
China has released their first catalog of equipment for RoHS. Previously the China RoHS 2 regulations in China put just about everything in scope with some exemptions for categories like space, power, military equipment, etc. which was very similar to EU RoHS. Categories that are called out in the first catalog were products that were in scope already with the RoHS 2 regulation release. What's different or has to be done differently for equipment that is in the catalog versus everything else that is already in scope? There was an exemption list published recently as well that looks a lot like the EU RoHS exemptions. Not sure if that has anything to do with the catalog or when that comes into effect. Can anyone who is on top of the China RoHS latest happenings fill me in? ______________________________________________________ Dan Roman, N.C.E.
