Hello Bostjan,

My recommendation is to purchase precision optical test equipment from a
manufacturer that offers traceable calibration services. In my opinion, the
best option is to have the manufacturer perform the traceable calibration if
they offer the service.

There are few independent laboratories with the capability of calibration laser
test equipment. The original equipment manufacturer is more likely to be able
to properly determine if equipment is within tolerance throughout its full
range. The manufacturer is more likely to be able to make the proper
adjustments to bring equipment back into tolerance if needed.

The market for laser test equipment is small and there isn't enough business
for independent laboratories to gain proficiency through routine testing.

Subject: [PSES] calibration of laser power and energy meters

Dear all,

Does anyone knows any calibration laboratory that can perform traceable
calibration of laser power and energy meters? Preferable in EU.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Bostjan
