Just received this info email from Intertek in the UK, followed the link and downloaded the White Paper – it should be of interest to anyone who wants to know the changes and additions. Adds quite a number of requirements, such as for socket-outlets with built-in USB power socket, and briefly discusses the new BS 8546: 2016 for travel plug adapters with pins or socket-outlets compatible with BS1363 sockets & plugs.
