Hi Mike,

SEV or ENEC Mark - Yes. It’s a corporate liability question or applied due
diligence to protect your consumer. How did you verify the certification to the
IEC standards? Either way I would think that your corporate layers would advise
100% to the letter of the law.

Which doesn’t help much in the decision making process. Everyone wants that
absolute Yes or No answer in our very grey world.

Regards,
Mark

Subject: [PSES] SEV Mark Required for Swiss Adapter Plug?

I’m looking for an adapter plug that allows a Schuko plug to be connected to a
grounded Swiss receptacle. I have found one that is certified to IEC 60884-1
and IEC 60884-2-5. It does not have an SEV mark.
Is an SEV mark required for adapter plugs to be used in Switzerland?
Thanks,
Mike Sherman
