I don't know if this was already discussed on the list and I missed it, but in case it wasn't, there's a news story that almost 1700 telecommunication devices from over 350 different companies had their regulatory approvals revoked by the Korean Communication Commission.
The company which submitted the test reports for the devices was Bay Area Compliance Laboratories (BACL) which has facilities in the United States and also in China. The reports were submitted by the U.S. branch of BACL but the testing was done in China and Korea does not recognize results from BACL's Chinese offices. http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20210617000953 https://en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20201110006800320 I originally found the story on https://hackaday.com/2021/06/19/1700-regulatory-approvals-revoked-in-south-korea/. - ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
