Dear Karen, so nice hearing from you.

Yes indeed, I would like to join the 1848 group. I have not used the standard itself, but am engaged in functional safety with respect to space systems...

Best greetings,

Elya

Hi Elya! That call for comments was specifically asking for feedback
from people who are already using the document--I'm not allowed to
distribute copies. Are you interested in joining the 1848 renewal
working group, given your interest in functional safety?

Dear Karen,

My work involves functional safety but I have not used this document.

Any chance to get a copy for revue and comments?

Greetings,

IEEE 1848 "Standard for Techniques and Measures to Manage Functional Safety and
Other Risks with Regard to Electromagnetic Disturbances"

IEEE 1848 was originally published in 2020. It focuses on a design-based
approach to managing electromagnetic risks across the lifecycle of a product,
particularly those with safety critical functions. It is time to look at
updating and renewing the standard now that it has been published for several
years, with a deadline of 2030.

If you have used this standard in any way, we would like your feedback! What
has worked well, what was confusing, what other techniques should be
considered, etc. Please click on the link below to offer your thoughts. You can
also provide your contact information if you would like to be notified about
meetings of the renewal working group, either as an observer or a potential
member. IEEE membership is not required to participate.

Link to provide feedback: https://www.emcs.org/standards/standards-feedback/

Thanks for any and all comments and interest!

Best,
