I took a look at the gambas website and I couldn't find much information about making Gambas interface to new libraries. Depending what you wish to do with emc2 and gambas, you would either need to create an interface to libnml or to hal---that usually means writing code in C or C++ to "glue" the language and the library together. As an example, the "glue" between Python and hal (src/hal/halmodule.cc in the emc2 source treee) is about 500 lines of C code, including blank lines and comments.
