Compiling RTAI is no fun. Only a few of the EMC developers have done so. (I'm not one of them - I've avoided compiling kernels so far in my Linux career.) I'm afraid we will be of limited help. That is the reason for the original BDI distribution (a distro that included a RTAI patched kernel) and it is the reason that we distribute patched kernel packages for Ubuntu now. > I've repeated this process with various combinations of gcc-2.95, 3.3, 3.4, > 4.0 and 4.1, kernel 2.4.21, 2.4.25 and 2.4.27 and rtai 3.2, 3.1 and > 3.05. I find it odd that 2.6+RTAI is giving you grief, and normally would be skeptical that a change to 2.4 would solve the problem. But its hard to argue with actual test results.
