hal_input will take exclusive control of the device when you put a "+"
as the first character of the input specifier:
    loadusr hal_input +mouse2
but hal_input won't work with /dev/input/mouseN -- only with
/dev/input/eventN.  There should be an eventN device file created when
you plug in your device.
