Now I understand the comment about patience. I had submitted a post,
received a bounced notice and reposted. Then I see the first post was there
also. Sorry.
Just to clarify for me. The way I see it the compensation is interpolated
between points as it looks as if it is part of the calculation before the
servo receives a command. I have a machine with a Fanuc control. The
compensation is applied at discreet points. With this scenario I would want
more points so the compensation is very small at each point. I have a
machine I put an MDSI control on. This control's compensation is
interpolated. I like this much better.
