Stepper support for the 5i20 is a work in progress. I'm the guy working on it, but I keep getting distracted by other issues. I'm going to do all I can to have it fully functional in time for the CNC workshop (June 11-17). It will be part of EMC 2.2 when that is released later this summer, and will be available in CVS before that. Right now the released version is 2.1.5. Version 2.2 will be adding a number of new features.
