Gentlemen,
Today we made the first for profit chips on our Dahlih. This
machine should get daily use. I worked with two tool makers to show
them how to use it. These men are manual machinists with a little bit
of CNC experience. Both are sharp and PIIIIICKY. It takes a
perfectionist to be a tool maker. You can be assured I will hear about
ANY problems. What a way to wring out the first project.
I did it this way on purpose. I want to hear any questions or
problems. I will keep you posted on how things work out.
First report. First thing this morning I showed Clyde how to start
the machine, home the machine, move the machine, tool change, and set
zero. I heard no more for the rest of the day. In this business "no
news is good news". If he had any problems I would have heard about
it. Conclusion - first day - success.
thanks to everyone working on EMC2
Stuart
