So should I calculate the gearing to use the steppers at a lower
RPM range with higher torque? For example the motor I'm looking
at at 900 RPM the torque start to climp from 40(oz-in) to 200(oz-in)
at 150 RPM. Is there a general rule of thumb to shoot for as to the
RPM of the stepper?
Not knowing how much torque it takes to move my little mini gantry at this
point makes the calculations impossible unless I can find some rule of thumb
to go by as a start.
Guess I need to get started building the gantry...
Thanks
John
