I am also using Thunderbird and web based email and have bad luck with both. Sometimes my mail to the list arrives almost immediately but it may take up to two days before I see a response on other mails and some mails even get bounced at the mailserver at sourceforge. As far as I can see it is not the mailclient being used who introduces the problem. All my mail gets delivered through the mailserver of planet internet. It's spooky and almost as unpredictable as Windoze ...
