A couple of minor clarifications about the hostmot2 changes:

The list of supported boards is: 5i20, 5i22 (1.0M and 1.5M versions), 
5i23, 4i65, 4i68, and 7i43 (200K and 400K versions).

The 7i33 mentioned above is an analog servo interface board which, like 
all the Mesa daughter boards, is suitable for use with any of the 
hostmot2 boards.

The hm2_5i20 driver is still available in 2.2.7; it has only been 
deprecated in favor of the hm2_pci driver.  The hm2_pci driver handles 
all the PCI and PC/104-Plus boards, including the 5i20.  None of the 
exported HAL objects will change name when you change drivers.  All 
users of hm2_5i20 are encouraged to switch to hm2_pci at their leisure.

I also want to announce a new sample configuration developed by Ted 
Hyde, which unfortunately didnt make it into 2.2.7.  His config uses a 
7i43 to control a 3-axis servo machine.  It's available here:
