OK, this ought to give anyone a laugh that has every wrestled with limit   and 
estop switches....

On my little three-axis minimill I added some parts to the end of the y-axis as 
part of a rolling cover that I'm trying to make.  So after I do this, I'm 
jogging the machine back and forth, admiring the cleverness of my little 
addition, when all of a sudden...

bang!!...an added piece of aluminum angle runs right into my big, red estop 
switch that sticks out of the machine near the end of the x axis- shutting off 
the machine automagically!!!

I had to remove a bunch of parts that I added just to get the switch closed 
again to get power back to the machine!

<sigh>
