Has either Seb Kuzminsky or Peter Wallace told you that the drivers are faulty? If they say it works, it works, and the problem is on your end. If they say it is broken, then it is broken (but a fix will probably follow very quickly). Did you read the message from Seb about num_stepgens? You are enabling a step generator, and the pins it uses CANNOT be used for general purpose I/O.
