Machines used for cutting vinyl etc. often use a 'dragging blade'. that is, the blade is set at maybe a 45 degree angle to the horizontal and has a vertical pivot at its upper end. this pivot is held in bearings in the Z axis so that the blade can swing round easily. Now when the table moves at an angle, as the cutting edge is trailing behind the spindle, the blade simply turns itself to follow the line automatically and there is no need to drive the blade to be in line with the cut.
