If your like me and bought a HP laptop sometime in the last couple of years, you might want to check this site out:
http://bpr.hpordercenter.com/hbpr/ At the bottom of the page you can check your laptop. Compaq users are also part of the recall. I'm posting this because there have been 2 fires attributed to have been caused by these batteries. My laptop was not listed as being part of the recall, but after I selected "Other/Not Listed" at the end of the list, I was able to enter my laptop serial number, and battery barcode number. It was definitely on the recall list, and I will have my new battery in a few days.
