I was having difficulty upgrading my cncrouter from 6.06 to 8.04. I had already been through the problem on my cnclathe. Thanks to help from Alex Joni and John Thornton, I am up and running again. I just had to change the xorg.conf to use the "vesa" video driver. The vesa driver wouldn't work on my other box but it worked on this one.
