yes that is how it looks on mine, when you see the cutter move in relation to the gear blank then it is as a hobbing machine. It helps me to visualise as I actually do do hobbing here but with helical hobs and geared machine, I hope one day to do an EMC driven hobbing machine. this will need 5 axis and software gearing between spindles/axis. You can change one parameter #<generate_qty> currently set to 8 make that 28 (arbitary choice) and you will see the cut frequency rise and it will take a lot longer to do but the facets on the faces will be smaller, in short a better gear.
