I have a couple of Rutex R2030 motor controllers for a lathe project that keeps getting pushed down my to-finish list: http://www.wallacecompany.com/cnc_lathe/Rutex.html http://www.wallacecompany.com/cnc_lathe/ I will probably not use these controllers because they require Windows software for tuning and I don't use Windows anymore. I use "dumb" motor drivers for my other machines and let EMC2 do the motion control. I really like being able to use Halscope for tuning instead. Plus, if needed, you have access to just about anything "under the hood" for trouble shooting or tracking down problems, even while cutting parts. In my opinion, for EMC2 with servos, dumb drivers (used with a hardware signal generator) are much better than step/dir controllers. When I get round tuit, I'll probably try to find someone running Mach to sell my R2030/BLDC motor setup to. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
