Hi all

New to EMC2, first post to this list. Retrofitting old OKK MHA400 mill.
Using m5i20 setup with the old driver rather than hostmot2.

The line in my hal file for the spindle brake is:

net SpindleBrakeOn m5i20.0.out-03 <= motion.spindle-brake

I need to invert this action of this output pin. When motion.spindle-brake
goes high, I need the hardware output to go low. I understand the use of
setp to invert pins ie “setp m5i20.0.out-03-invert 1”. However, adding this
line has no effect, and I am assuming this is related to the note in the
Integrator Manual that says “you cannot use setp on a pin that is connected
to a signal”.

What is the solution to this? – I’m assuming there is a simple solution but
can’t for the life of me find it.

Thanks in advance

Steve
