It would be a combination of EMC for positioning (two axes only, horizontal and vertical plane), and a built in ballistics calculator. The robot would be orientated (homed) according to landmarks, and would be told the coordinates of the target in relation to the orientation, which is the bearing angle, distance and elevation. The ballistic computer would compute the shooting parameters based on these, and make adjustments for wind speed, temperature etc. EMC would position the rifle and shoot. So this is not some sort of an evil orwellian concoction, because it does exactly as it is told and does not involve any image recognition. But it would be cool to make a video of it whacking one pepsi can after another, with astronomical precision.
