Hi everyone, I have changed the tool holding on my emc driven rose engine (see http://blog.alanbattersby.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/img_0038-rose-2.jpg) so that the tool depth direction can be set at a variable angle and not just perpendicular to the other two axes.
So can I show this orientation change in the axis tool path display or does axis always assume an orthogonal basis i.e that Z is perpendicular to X and Y? I would like to be able to specify a direction vector for the cutter which in Gcode is currently defined as being along the Z axis. Will axis reflect a display where Z is not perpendicular to X and Y? Or does this involve a lot of re-writing of either axis itself or alternatively of the kinematics module? thanks Alan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
