Both seem to be used, with bought-from-Mesa possibly the more common. I have a bit of breadboard with headers and a few ULN2003 chips to buffer the high-current stuff like relays. It acts a bit like a plugboard to allow for easy reconfiguration. (pin headers, then bits of wire with crimped-on sockets from multi-conectors, without the shells) If I was doing it again I would use Molex header plugs with the shells, as they are easy enough to move about in the shells, and make for quicker unplugging and fewer errors. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Til4cZnLeEZ6Y2jizdn8-g?feat=directlink On reflection, the Mesa cards look like good value, http://www.mesanet.com/aiodaughter.html for example the 7i42 is $35 -- atp "Torque wrenches are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Offer-- Download ArcSight Logger for FREE (a $49 USD value)!
