Ok this driving me nuts!! I have 7i43 and I have opto isolated drives for my steppers. I want to connect 5V to +ve side of the opto led and connect the 7i43 to the -ve side. In one state i.e. "NO step" the 7i43 output sits at 5V in the other state "Step" the 7i43 sinks the LED current and the drive steps the motor. The drive is configured to step on a high to low pulse edge. Has anyone done this or am I completely wrong - I am also tying to avoid building a card with transistors on it to interface the 7i43 to the optoisolators.
I think I need to set is_opendrain on the gpio pins in the .HAL file? And set the pull up resistors on the card W3 jumper? Any help will be appreciated.
