This makes the Quick-Change a lot less quick and worrisome to use. The Quick-Change taper is the same but the flange is different: http://www.tools-n-gizmos.com/specs/Tapers.html#KS I may be perpetuating the Quick-Change rumors, but it might be safe to say, if you need new tooling, avoid Quick-Change, if you already have Quick-Change, don't turn your back on them and search for first hand testimony. Another issue, since EMC'ers tend to be crafty, and Quick-Change spindles tend to not have a center hole, adapting a draw bar and automated tool changer would not be possible. I believe I have seen threads that indicate spindles can be drilled. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free Software Download: Index, Search & Analyze Logs and other IT data in Real-Time with Splunk.
