That looks quite useful to me. One feature that isn't mentioned is
that if the solid-state-relay is of the zero-crossing type then
powering the VFD and/or its input filter through that relay will
prevent problems with RCD (US GFI) breakers in the supply circuit.

Currently I have to plot my route out of the garage before turning on
the new milling machine VFD because 9 times out of 10 doing so turns
out the lights :-)
(I already have an SSR to solve this, but at the moment I just have
things thrown together so that the mill can be used manually for
drilling etc.)
