   Yes, your excellent work is just what I had in mind when he got his machine. 
I remember coming across your work when I was working on getting my Bridgeport 
Series I CNC retrofitted. Thanks for the help on that one too. So do I 
understand you right in thinking that you can upload files to the Bandit 
controller via the RA-232 port? Does it use some sort of transfer protocol, 
like x-modem or something older? And yes, I did look through the manual enough 
to see that feeding it g-code is rather involved. I tried to use a G83, but the 
manual did not go into depth on how to set depth, step, and working standoff 
distance. It did have a overall description of the overall zietgiest of how 
coefficients are added to various terms in a function. But we were on our way 
to lunch and it was too complicated for my brain wracked with taco cravings to 
overcome.

   I'll check out what kind of machine he uses. I'm pretty sure he is using 
servos. If it is a stepper, heck I'll lift the design you have online and be 
done with it.
