When NAMES was in Toledo, it was totally amazing! They had people coming
in from all over the world to show incredible stuff. A Duesenberg coupe
about
18" long, a 1/3rd scale Ferrari roadster, 18-cyl radial engines, and
some radials
that people ran in the back of the hall. Thousands of tiny engines of all
sorts. A working Bridgeport mill that you could hold in one hand.

Unfortunately, they have downsized the show about 3 times since finishing
their 5-year lease in Toledo. I have not been back since they left Toledo.
Detroit is a lot farther for me than Toledo, but that's only part of the
reason.

Cabin Fever is supposed to be the hot show now, but that's even farther
from you (and me).

On the other hand, the CNC Workshop is actually a bit farther than Detroit,
but very much worth the effort! I guess it will only be 3 days this year,
but ALL CNC, except for Rick Chownyk who will do a bit of casting.
I'll be giving 3 seminars there as usual, related to servo topics.

My junk wouldn't work well in any light plane, I carry a couple computers
and a desktop mill. Last year I had a another guy going to the show
with me,
that was a big help.
