I think that major reason for providing sample configs is to use them
as a starting point.
That is what I have been doing past year - I do not start from empty
config folder, but use sample configs. Most often hm2-stepper or
hm2-servo.
I find it faster to adjust sample config than going through stepconf.
I guess that it is different for new users, who are not yet familiar
with HAL.
