I think that this is a question to our board - what was the agreement about the rebranding. Was the agreement only about name, which is represented to public, or was the agreement about not using those three letters _anywhere_, which IMHO includes also source code of the application. I do agree that messing up the code by leaving "emc" and now substitute it with "linuxcnc" in new code would be wrong approach. On the other hand, I am in favor of replacing "emc" throughout the code. Could somebody from the board comment on this side of the agreement?
