I have a simulator machine which can dual-boot to versions of Linuxcnc.
One version is built from 2.5 source, and the other is plain vanilla 2.5
just upgraded from 2.4.7 using the instructions here:
http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?UpdatingTo2.5

Glade runs fine on the machine built from source, but on the upgraded
machine I don't find the rip-environment script to set up the
directories for glade, and glade can't find the linuxcnc widgets.

I installed linuxcnc and linuxcnc-dev during the upgrade. Do I need to
install the source code to build a VCP with glade?
