No, it does not have LinuxCNC on it. It is running Mach3 :)) I am offered to retrofit it to LinuxCNC for 2 reasons: 1) make machine stable and reliable; 2) control each of 2 spindles independently; The first point includes several things, but that loss of position in one particular joint is the one that I am not completely sure to be caused by current controls. That is why I asked about it with a hope that someone might had similar situation. Yes, I actually did what Andy said - overlooked the mechanics, because in all joints there are Nema42 stepper motors connected to Festo cylinder with ballscrew inside.
