Hi, For a specific project, I ordered an all in one computer. Its name: Shuttle X5020XA PLUS. I took a short time testing it with linuxCNC (it will not be the final use for this project, but I may use it latter for other project).
I spend some time getting the touchscreen working, (need to add a parameter on boot), but then, it's a beautifull piece of hardware if you are looking for a simple and complete control for a pulse/dir CNC (parallel port and 2 serial port are provided on the back). Latency test are good (less than 10us for hours and hours), I work with hypertreading disable and isoCPU = 1. On the not so good point, BIOS doesn't provide feature for auto power ON (to switch on as soon as the machine main switch is ON). For linuxcnc installation, I used LinuxLive USB creator from ISO file. For information, touch screen is resistive. Imho, this is the right choice for a machine with motion, as you need to press gently and not only touch to make an action. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Master Visual Studio, SharePoint, SQL, ASP.NET, C# 2012, HTML5, CSS, MVC, Windows 8 Apps, JavaScript and much more.
