I've just added a 2+ minute movie of it running a routine with a G33.1 as the main operation. In this case it is a loop, driving the tap an additional half turn per invocation of the G33.1. The intermittent rattle is the 2/1 stepdown gears between the Z motor, 40 teeth, and the ball screw, 80 teeth, which when there is any play in the tooth mesh, amplifies the heck out of the steppers steps by allowing the teeth a thou or so to rattle. No measurable effect on the actual backlash. Its also running so slow because while it works at 500 rpm, it also coasts several turns getting stopped, so the actual time diff between 50 revs and 500 revs doesn't really speed it up all that much. This also demo's that synthesized stop in the .hal that locks out the reverse until it has come to a full stop, then allows the direction change. That stop is NOT in the G33.1 code itself. The resultant thread seems factory perfect, thats a brass tipped, plastic field ramrod that I was rethreading to allow another bullet seater that fits my fav bullet in that 50 Cal BP rifle, to be screwed into it and left there. The OEM face of that rod was shaped for patched ball, and pure lead bullets were being damaged by it.
