It should work fine.  I've used it in similar situations and it's worked 
fine.

linuxcncrsh is not very user friendly, and not very widely used, and 
there may be bugs (though we don't currently know of any).

For controlling a linuxcnc computer over the network, linuxcncrsh is 
probably your best bet at the moment.
