i'm also at a loss with the same idea , i'm looking at using the dual needle display , showing commanded speed , and actual speed , and show the calculated difference and if thats within bounds etc .
sure this near comp , should have an if zero then it's not good , it's just not running and should be red and not green etc or if a slight dif other than both 0 , then it's running , as i doubt in this particular instance you would never get both inputs 0 perhaps a new component or this renamed specific for spindle may be a good idea .
