Not when running multiple motors from a single VFD. I've read whitepapers from VFD manufacturers showing sample configurations with something like eight motors on a single large VFD, each with it's own OCP. I think the days of loose motor connections blowing up a VFD are in the past and current designs are more resilient anyway.
