Hi Wallace . I got the same problem when I made a new installation using the Debian Wheezy package. As John told you , you should specify the editor program you want to use into the INI file. Keep in mind that Debian comes with an editor called Mousepad . So if you want Gedit working you should download it and install it and then declare it as the dafault editor into the INI file.
