Technically, we are turning into a vast non-tehcnical wasteland on this side of the pond. Ebay has effectively become the source but you have to search for the jewels, their search engine sucks dead toads thru soda straws. A right pain in the ass when a search for "milling machine" returns 97% trash, 20% of which has zip to do with a milling machine. We have a radio shack here, but the parts stock is 20% of what it was a year ago. 80% of whats on the walls today will wind up being recycled. It will not have a radio shack sign on it by 1 May from what I hear. They do have some arduino stuff, but at 3 to 5x what I can get it for on ebay.
