Just thinking a bit (dangerous, I know). If LCNC can be made to run my 
PLM2000 over a serial port, could it integrate operation of a 4th axis 
via a second serial port or a parallel port?

 From what I've read online, only about 40 proLIGHT mills were made with 
the 4th axis option (a HASS with a 5C spindle, pretty large for the 
mill) and they are the only ones that can use a 4th axis with their 
native software.
