That is the page I was searching for, using variations of motherboard,
and coming up empty.

Now, that Intel 945 board near the bottom looks pretty good, but has
anyone tested it yet with the binary-hybrid.iso?

I have that installed in both of my D525MW equipt machines, but the
latency jitter is about 8x worse with that, compared to the 10.04-4 LTS
install that self destructed on both machines with the 2.6.5+ LCNC.

Now its running dead stable, but I've been forced to reset the base
thread from 27u-s, to 2x as slow at 55u-s to get rid of the overruns.
Something in the SMI I presume, but the bios doesn't give me much to
control in that category. The lathe, with a 5i25 in it, is of course
much less sensitive to that, and while I do have a freshly installed
5i25 in the toy mills box, I have not yet configured it to be used.

Been busy with the GO704 mill I bought while waiting for services for
Roberta, Dee's older sister, managing to get it out of the truck and
sitting on its stand & in out of the weather in the garage. I picked up
a 4-plex box and a short roll of 10-2 w/g today, along with a 20 amp
breaker. The breaker and romex are installed, but not the 4 plex box,
figured I'd make good use of the dryer weather and get the mill inside
instead. My garage floor looks flat, but on a 75 yo machinists level,
the bubble is waaaaaaay off. so before I uncrated it, I hit Lowes up for
some elevator bolts, drilling and tapping the stand bottom at the
corners to mount them. Not adjusted yet, my back is yelling.

Progress, no relation to GE's version.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
